MacLifestyle today announced the release of “Panther Tips & Tricks,” a fully illustrated electronic book (eBook) that shows you how to get the most out of Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. According to the company, the US$5.95 eBook is targeted at average Mac users and not pros. The new eBook has color screenshots and is published in PDF format. MacLifestyle said that it will offer customers free updates to the eBook and said it will be adding new tips as they are discovered in Mac OS X 10.3.

Safari Enhancer update offers Panther support

Gordon Byrnes has released Safari Enhancer 2.0.7b1, the latest update to his application for enhancing the functionality of Safari. Version 2.0.7b1 features Mac OS X 10.3 Panther compatibility, an update to French localization, better error checking, a “major code cleanup,” and several bug fixes. It is also important to note that Safari Enhancer 2.0.7b1 is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar).

Lexar announces JumpDrive Music

Lexar Media today introduced JumpDrive Music, a portable USB flash storage device which enables people to store, carry and transfer data files, while at the same time, serving as an MP3 player. The new unit will be available in 128MB and 256MB capacities, and can store approximately two to four hours of high quality music, respectively.
