Native Instruments releases Battery 1.3 for OS X

Native Instruments has announced the Battery 1.3 update, which brings the popular drum-sampler to Mac OS X and Pro Tools users. Battery 1.3 fully supports Maac OS X’s modern technologies and interfaces, including AudioUnits, RTAS, VST, and standalone operation with CoreMIDI and CoreAudio. The update is immediately available to all registered users as a US$29 direct download.

Sonnet ships Tempo Serial ATA card

Sonnet Technologies said today that it is now shipping the Tempo Serial ATA PCI host adapter, which allows Mac owners to take advantage of the market’s latest offerings in Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) storage technologies. “With data transfer rates of up to 150MBytes/sec or 1.5Gbits/sec, the product performance is that of SCSI but without the SCSI price,” the company said. Tempo Serial ATA sells for US$99.95.
