MCE Technologies today announced that it is now offering Apple’s new 12 and 14-inch iBook G4s with a 2x DVD-R/RW + DVD-RAM drive option. Each iBook with the internal MCE DVD-R/RW + DVD-RAM drive includes DVD Authoring Software for Mac OS X for the creation of DVDs, and Toast Lite software for burning audio and data CDs. The drive is compatible with iTunes, iDVD, iPhoto and other applications capable of burning CDs and DVDs. The 12-inch 800MHz iBook G4 with internal 2x DVD-R/RW + DVD-RAM drive carries a retail price of US$1299 and the 14-inch iBook G4 933MHz & 1GHz, similarly equipped, carries a retail price of $1499 and $1699, respectively.
