Trans Intl. today announced the availability of a 1GB DDR (Double Data Rate) memory upgrade module for the newly released Apple iBook G4. The company notes that “the iBook G4 models have one available memory expansion slot for main memory expansion and 128MB of RAM soldered on the system logic board. Trans Intl.’s 1GB memory upgrades double the memory density of the available memory expansion slot to 1 GB. Without this upgrade, the system memory capacity was limited to a total of 640MB of main memory as currently specified in Apple documentation.” The module is priced at US$449.
