Lexar Media today introduced Image Rescue 2.0, an enhanced version of its popular image recovery software. Lexar says that version 2.0 has significantly expanded the number of memory cards from which the software can recover data — it can now recover “lost” or deleted digital images from any memory card, regardless of format or manufacturer. In addition, the utility offers expanded reader support and can be used with all mass storage compliant card readers including FireWire and USB 2.0. Image Rescue 2.0 is bundled free of charge on all of Lexar Media’s Professional Series CompactFlash, and will also be available as a stand-alone product at in November for US$39.95. Windows 2000/XP (or higher) or Mac OS X 10.2 (or higher) are required.
