In today’s New York Times, David Pogue previews Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, which will hit store shelves Friday evening. “That decimal-point increase (from version 10.2 to 10.3) doesn’t give the upgrade’s 150 new features enough credit,” Pogue writes. “In Panther, Apple has taken an already sparkling, super-stable operating system and made it faster, better equipped and more secure.” He also calls Exposé, the new utility in Panther for instantly seeing all open windows at once, “the biggest graphical breakthrough that operating systems have achieved in years.”
