Reuters reports that EMusic plans to discontinue its unlimited download service and replace it with a more limited offering. The company said that as of November 8, it will replace its unlimited service offering with two subscription plans — one that offers up to 40 downloads for US$9.99 per month, and one that allows 65 downloads for $14.99 per month. Vivendi Universal’s VUNet USA is selling EMusic to Dimensional Associates, a privately held venture capital firm for undisclosed terms.
