A briefing on Yahoo’s In Play report notes that the Wall Street Journal suggests that in its current incarnation, Apple’s iTunes Music Store “provides minute profits” to the company. It should be noted, however, that when Apple launched the online music service, its share price jumped dramatically. The WSJ reports that a repeat performance may be coming, as Apple readies itself to introduce the service to a “wider audience next week.” Apple has made no official announcement as to the specifics of a Windows launch of iTunes, only to say that it would launch before the end of this year.
