Apple has posted a standalone 39MB download of Mac OS X 10.2.8, which was released yesterday via the Software Update preference pane. As previously reported, the update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for: Audio, Bluetooth, Classic compatibility, Finder, Graphics, LDAP, Power Management, Safari, and FireWire and USB device compatibility. The update also provides updated security services and includes the latest security updates. According to Apple, version 10.2.8 does not work with Power Mac G5s (which ship with v10.2.7) and is only for use with G3- and G4-based Macs.
