Sony today introduced two new LCD monitors — the 17-inch SDM-HX73 (US$620) and 19-inch SDM-HX93 ($1,000). Both models feature 1280 x 1024 native resolutions and one-touch adjustable performance settings. The 19-inch display offers a 800:1 contrast ratio, while the 17-inch model has a 500:1 ratio. The new flat-panels also feature a cable management system, integrated stereo speakers, and Sony’s ErgoBright technology, which adjusts brightness as ambient lighting conditions change in a home or office. The Mac-compatible displays, available in either metallic gray or matte black, come equipped with digital and analog connections. Both will ship later this month.
