CNET News.com reports that Adobe is preparing to make several major product announcements — including a new version of Photoshop — at the end of September. It is noted that PhotoshopWorld, the largest user conference for Photoshop professionals, kicks off on September 30 and would seem to be the proper place for an introduction. MacMerc chimes in today reporting that the new version will not be called Photoshop 8 (as expected), but will instead be called Photoshop CS (Creative Suite). The site also says that it will be unveiled at PhotoshopWorld, noting that Adobe executive Bryan Lamkin will be delivering a keynote entitled “The first in-depth look at new Photoshop technology.”
