Microsoft has updated its Web site with a short tidbit announcing Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X: “Coming Soon! Windows Media Player 9 Series for Mac OS X will deliver compatibility with 9 Series audio and video content.” Version 9 is currently only available for Windows. The multimedia player is presently at version 7.1 on Mac OS X.
