MagniComp today announced the availability of SysInfo 5.0, the latest release of its product for providing IT personnel with comprehensive system information for most major UNIX and Linux platforms. Among the new features in this release are a new agent, which can provide remote access to all SysInfo data over a standard TCP/IP connection, and support for Mac OS X. “Support for Mac OS X has been our number one customer request for new platform support,” said Michael Cooper, President and CTO of MagniComp in the press release. Pricing is based on the number of CPUs in a system and starts at US$12 for a system with 1-4 CPUs. A demo version is also available.
