LaCie announced today that it has teamed up with Porsche Design GmbH to produce an array of storage peripherals designed by the renowned design firm. The new products will combine “modern form and crisp design” with “highly-defined style and superior performance.” LaCie’s new design, which is expected in September, will house a complete line of USB 2.0 and FireWire hard drives, ranging in capacity from 40GB to 250GB. LaCie’s CD-RW and DVD+/-RW drives will also be available in this unique design, featuring a mirrored door that opens. (site not updated at press time)
