Apple will be a co-sponsor of the Ridley Scott Awards, a new initiative put on by London visual effects school Escape Studios to seek out and support film, television and computer game creatives. The awards are open to anyone not currently employed in these industries, according to an Apple UK Hot News posting. Winners will receive copies of Alias|Wavefront’s Maya, Apple’s Shake and a work experience placement with a top company.
