Nisus Software today announced the public beta release of its all new Mac OS X word processor, Nisus Writer Express. Nisus Writer Express has been written from the ground up in Cocoa to take full advantage of the advanced technologies of Mac OS X both now and into the future. In addition, the software comes with a new, user-friendly interface that takes full advantage of aqua, industry standard RTF, plain text and unicode support, a customizable interface, fully scriptable (AppleScript, menu based and Perl macros), an exclusive tooldrawer and the ability to open and save as Microsoft Word(TM) documents (.doc). Nisus Writer Express will sell for US$59.95. Licensed users of Nisus Writer 6.0 and above will be able to purchase it for $34.95.
