Palm today introduced two new handhelds in its Tungsten and Zire product lines, one with built-in wireless connectivity and the other with an integrated digital camera. The new Tungsten C (US$499) offers integrated Wi-Fi (AirPort/802.11b) access, a built-in keyboard, 64MB of memory, a 400MHz ARM processor, a 320 x 320 transflective TFT display, and several full-featured business applications. The new Zire 71 ($299) handheld boasts a built-in digital camera, audio/video playback ability, a new sliding case design that reveals and activates the camera, a 320 x 320 color display (Palm’s highest resolution screen to date), and 16MB of memory (13MB usable).
