Other World Computing (OWC) today introduced two 80GB Mercury On-The-Go portable hard drives that feature 8MB of cache and either a FireWire (US$399) or combo FireWire and USB 2.0/1.1 ($419) interface. Weighing 11 ounces and measuring 3.5×5.5×1.0-inches, the new drives “provide convenient and portable solutions for transferring files from one computer to another, or transporting large files in secure hard drives for quick access wherever one travels.”
