Apple has updated its home page again with a new pre-Macworld San Francisco message that reads “Beyond the rumor sites. Way beyond.” Yesterday the message read “Count the days. Count the minutes. Count on being blown away.” while before that it read “This one is big. Even by our standards.”

Analyst upgrades Apple

Gerard Kaleur Mattison has upgraded Apple from “neutral” to “outperform,” citing new hardware and the proliferation of Mac OS X as accelerating the upgrade cycle for Apple’s installed base. The firm also lowered its fiscal 2002 estimate by three cents, set a target price of $26 per share, and expects shares to rise before Macworld Expo begins and fall off afterwards.
