Sybase announces plans for Mac development tools

Sybase, Inc. Monday announced plans to develop Open Client for Mac, an Internet-enabled development tool kit for developers delivering Mac applications across a variety of database systems, and Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5 (ASE 12.5) for Mac OS X. ASE 12.5 will allow developers to build applications with native Mac OS X support for database applications. The company plans to deliver both products later this year.

Contour adds Mac OS X support for ShuttlePRO

Brother today announced two new laser digital copiers, the DCP-1000 and DCP-1400, both of which also function as a laser printer and flatbed color scanner. The Mac-compatible devices offer copy/print speeds of up to 10 pages per minute and 15 pages per minute, respectively. Other features include printer resolution of 600×600 dpi, an optical scanning resolution of 600×2400, and USB connectivity.
