Macs in action: Coldplay

Apple’s latest Hot News article features the Grammy award-winning band Coldplay, who used ProTools and Power Macs to finish their hit album “Parachutes,” and to produce their entire second full-length album, “A Rush of Blood To The Head.” The article notes that all four members of Coldplay have PowerBooks and iPods, and that Macs are definitely an integral part to their songwriting and recording process. “We’re pretty geeky when it comes to Apple Macs, to be honest, we’re huge fans,” said band bassist Guy Berryman.

Apple has posted iDisk Utility 1.0.1, an update to its application that lets .Mac members enhance their iDisk usability. iDisk Utility allows you to connect to the Public folders of other .Mac members, easily access your iDisk and the iDisks of other members, set password protection and allow other people to put files in your Public folder, and view and increase available iDisk storage.
