CE Software, Dell report earnings

In other earnings news, CE Software, creators of QuicKeys and QuickMail, this morning posted a first-quarter loss of US$162,000 as revenues fell 30-percent from the year-ago quarter to $348,000. The company remains optimistic that its core products will be able to sustain operations, and announced that the refinancing agreement on its building was completed on January 31, providing the company with working capital.

NVIDIA earnings surge while SEC investigates accounting

NVIDIA yesterday announced that profits in its fourth-quarter surged to US$73 million, more than twice what it posted in the year-ago quarter. Revenues also more than doubled to $499.9 million, largely attributed to Microsoft’s NVIDIA-powered Xbox video game console. The company also informed investors that its accounting practices are currently being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
