MacPlay today released Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn 1.1, an update to its fantasy role-playing game for Mac OS 8/9 and Mac OS X. The new version adds support for scrolling with multiple monitors, support for non-US keyboards, reduced load and save times, and fixes for a variety of bugs. Mac OS X users are encouraged to not use 3D acceleration, and to update to Mac OS X 10.1.2 or later in order to use 32-bit color. Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn sells for US$49.99.

Your Mac Life, an Internet-based Mac radio show, has announced their lineup for tonight’s broadcast (21:00 – 23:00 ET). Tonight’s show features Francois Gariepy of Toon Boom Technologies, creators of an animation package for Mac OS X; Corey Marion of The Iconfactory; Chris Breen to discuss his new book; and Game Guru Peter Cohen. A variety of prizes will also be given away.

Pangea Software has released Otto Matic 1.1, an update to its action-adventure game for Mac OS 8/9 and Mac OS X. Version 1.1 adds Truform support for the ATI Radeon 8500, support for full screen anti-aliasing on ATI Radeon cards, and other enhancements and bug fixes. Otto Matic sells for US$39.95; a demo is also available.

Google’s Zeitgeist, a compilation of interesting statistics from the search engine, reveals that “iMac” was the tenth most gaining query for the month of January, as noted by MacGeneration. Also during January, four percent of Google’s total searches were accessed from Macs.

Mac OS X 10.1.3 is now available as a stand-alone download, after Apple released the update yesterday evening via the Software Update control panel. The update improves application reliability, device support, and security features.
