LaCie has announced 200GB and 250GB additions to its d2 line of external FireWire hard drives. The drives sport a sleek aluminum design, can be placed upright, stacked or rack-mounted, and offer 400Mbps transfer speed. Pricing has been set at US$499 for the 200Gb (7200RPM/8MB) model, and $549 for the 250GB (5400RPM/2MB) drive. The d2 is also still available in 60GB, 80GB, and 120GB capacities.
