AOL, in a bid to extend the presence of its AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) service, is teaming with PresenceWorks to embed AIM functionality into Web sites, according to c|net. The embedding technology would allow strangers to easily communicate in real-time, such as employees and potential employers conversing through Monster.com or customers at eBay reaching sellers through eBay.
