Dr. Bott offers DVIator/Radeon bundles

Dr. Bott has certified its DVIator adapter, which allows Apple’s ADC displays to connect to a DVI port, for use with ATI’s RADEON 7000 and 8500 Mac Edition cards. Dr. Bott is offering a DVIator bundle for US$269 with the RADEON 7000 and $339 with the RADEON 8500. The DVIator sells for $149 separately.

Creative revamps Nomad Jukebox MP3 player

Creative today announced the Nomad Jukebox 3, its latest high-capacity MP3 player. The Jukebox 3, which resembles a portable CD player, features USB and SB1394 (FireWire-compatible) connectivity, 7 minutes of skip-protection, dual-battery support for up to 22 hours of playback, optical and analog line-in for recording audio, and many other features. The 20GB version is shipping now for US$399.95 while the 40GB version will ship next month for $499.95 — the same prices, respectively, as Apple’s 5GB and 10GB iPods.

Formac kicks off display promo

Formac is offering a US$75 rebate when its gallery 1740 flat-panel display is purchased alongside a Power Mac G4 or Adobe Photoshop 7.0 from qualifying resellers. A similar $100 rebate is being offered for its gallery 1740 CAL display, which includes a color calibration device. The promotion runs through June 15th and is currently available through the following resellers: MacMall, MacWarehouse, MacConnection, ClubMac, First Tech Computer, B.Mac.

4D upgrade brings Mac OS X compatibility

4D, Inc. has announced 4D 6.8, a Carbonized version of its database and Web development software. Version 6.8 also brings a number of other enhancements, including improved security, better TCP/IP integration, and interface enhancements through Aqua under Mac OS X. 4D 6.8 will be available as a free download on Wednesday, April 17, to version 6.7 customers.
