A survey conducted by TrendWatch, the results for which were released one month ago, finds that 23 percent of television and broadcast firms use Macs, as noted by MacCentral. Additional results from the survey can be found in the TrendWatch press release.

AutoFX has released DreamSuite Series 2, a collection of 12 new visual effects for digital images. DreamSuite can work independently or as a Photoshop plug-in and is compatible with Mac OS 8.5 and later and Mac OS X. Additionally, AutoFX has released updates to its other titles, adding compatibility with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Mac OS X. DreamSuite Series 2 sells for US$149.

Despite a strong sentiment against Macs on Capitol Hill, a small number of individuals are vying with The Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) regarding technology recommendations, according to Wired. Just three offices on Capitol Hill use Macs, and those who decline the SAA’s PC-centric advice are often “ostracized” and regarded with less respect than their PC-equipped colleagues.
