The crowd was intense, but we managed to get all of the sale prices: 17-inch iMac US$1888, Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) $98, 5GB iPod $268, 10GB iPod $358, 20GB iPod $448, AirPort Base Station $268, .Mac $68, Canon PowerShot S200 $268, HP DeskJet 5550 $128, Canon ZR40 $498, and JBL Creature Speakers $98. DoveBid to hold Apple, Napster auctions

Apple will be auctioning off refurbished computers, notebooks, and peripherals on December 3 at 9 AM PT. DoveBid will manage the sale, which will only take place online. All of the products come with Apple’s one year warranty. DoveBid will also be holding an auction for Napster’s fixed assests, including IT equipment, computers and promotional products on December 11 at 9 AM.

Ambrosia releases Pop-Pop 1.0.2

Ambrosia Software has released Pop-Pop 1.0.2, the latest version of its fast-paced action/puzzle game featuring more than 100 levels and multiplayer support over the Internet. The update contains a host of bug fixes and adds support for Apple’s Rendezvous technology, support for HID on Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), and also adds local 2-player games. Pop-Pop is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 or later and Mac OS X, and is US$25 shareware.
