Audiogalaxy settles with music industry

Audiogalaxy.com, a music file-sharing service, has reached an out-of-court settlement with the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Music Publishers’ Association whereby its future service will have its content filtered, according to The Street.com. Audiogalaxy will also pay a “substantial sum” to music publishers and the industry. Following the demise of Napster, Audiogalaxy emerged as one of the most viable alternatives for swapping music across the Internet.

Microsoft snubs Hebrew for Mac users

An article at The Register details the lack of Hebrew support in the Mac version of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. Microsoft has reportedly claimed that adding such support would be unprofitable or that they lack the ability to do so, despite offers from other organizations to localize the software without any cost to Microsoft. Microsoft supports Hebrew in the Windows versions of those products.
