Amazon.com has started offering free shipping on all orders of US$49 or more. The move comes after the company began offering free shipping on orders of $99 or more in January, and is expected to pressure competitors to take up similar free shipping offers. Amazon will test the program for three to six months before it decides whether to make the policy permanent, according to c|net.
