Curious Labs unveils Poser 5

Curious Labs today announced Poser 5, the newest version of its 3D-character animation tool. The title packs plenty of new features, including dynamic cloth and strand based hair, photo-based facial modeling, FacePutty and MorphPutty tools, and a new FireFly Renderer, among others. Poser 5 will ship for Windows later this summer for US$549.00; plans for a Mac version will be announced later as well.

Netalog readies functional car adapter, transmitter

Netalog is finishing up a new product for the iPod that lets users mount the device in a cellular phone-like holder for easy access, with a power adapter and wireless FM stereo transmitter built-in. Dubbed the TransPod, the device has modular sticks that lengthen or reduce the height of the unit as it comes out of the cigarette adapter, so that the iPod can be as easily reachable as a car radio.
