iCalShare offers Sherlock channel

The folks at iCalShare let us know that they now have their very own Sherlock channel. With their channel, users can search the iCalShare calendar directory for their favorite calendars. Search results include calendar title, category, and author. Double-click a calendar to open that calendar’s page on the Web site, or just select the calendar and you’ll get a mini-summary with a description, subscribe link, and tons of other info. iCalShare offers over 750 calendars in over 25 different categories for Apple’s iCal.

Microsoft releases Query X

Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit today released Query X, software for Mac OS X that uses Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) to allow users to import data from databases into Excel X, as noted by VersionTracker. Users can use Query X to create new queries or refresh existing queries that were created in other versions of Excel, such as Excel 98, Excel 2001, and Excel for Windows.

Unsanity updates Xounds and Labels X

Unsanity today released Labels X 1.1, an update to its haxie that adds file labeling features to Mac OS X. Labels X allows users to apply various color tints to file icons and sort the files by label, giving more options in organizing files. Version 1.1 adds Mac OS X 10.1 compatiblity, as well as several other improvements. The company also released Xounds 1.4, an update to its haxie that brings Appearance Sounds back to Mac OS X.
