Sony announces two new digital photo printers

Sony today introduced two new digital photo printers that use the company’s dye sublimation technology, a process that creates lab-quality prints in color, monochrome, sepia or paint tone. Both printers come in pearl white, and feature built-in editing and creative tools to adjust images, a Memory Stick media slot, and USB connectivity. The DPP-EX5 can also connect to a television for larger viewing and editing of photos, and is available now for US$200.

Apple teams up with Best Buy to sell iPods

Apple and Best Buy today announced that the iPod will be available at all Best Buy retail stores and on BestBuy.com beginning September 15. Best Buy will offer three iPod configurations in its stores: the 10GB and 20GB model for Windows, and the 10GB model for the Mac. Best Buy will also carry the entire line of iPods on its Web site.

PrintToPDF 2.4.3 is the latest version of the shareware printer driver for Mac OS 9 and earlier that creates PDF (Portable Document Format) files without having the full Adobe Acrobat package installed. The update brings a host of bug fixes. PrintToPDF is priced at US$20.
