Virtix today announced the availability of Virtix Cinematic for iMovie, a collection of 29 transitions that allow the user to gently wipe from one scene to the next. A few of these include standard wipes, edge wipes, corner wipes, clock wipes, circular iris wipes, rectangular iris wipes, and square iris wipes.

Oyster, a new laptop dock/stand that provides “ergonomic comfort, improves cable management, and conserves desktop space.” Oyster repositions the laptop for better use of the LCD screen and to accommodate a full-size keyboard. Oyster also utilizes an integrated USB hub that manages and conceals cables in its rear storage bay and works with PowerBooks, but not iBooks, according to the company. Pricing is yet to be announced.
The Omni Group has posted OmniWeb X 4.1.1b1, the latest release of their full-featured Mac OS X Web browser, as noted by MacUpdate. Version 4.1.1b1 fixes a problem that prevented recent releases of the Flash plugin from working correctly, offers improvements to the browser’s HTTPS/SSL support, fixes an incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.2 which affected hostname lookups, and more.
