Brother updates Multi-Function Centers
Brother International today announced the new MFC-5200c, which will replace its flatbed color MFC-9200c. The new 6-in-1 MFC-5200c comes standard with the company’s upgraded PhotoCapture Center feature, enabling users to print color photos and images directly from Memory Stick, CompactFlash, and SmartMedia cards. The MFC-5200c also features a color printer, color fax, color copier, color scanner and PC fax.

Charismac Engineering has announced the upcoming release of Hubzilla, the company’s 4-port FireWire breathing dinosaur. “Look directly at Hubzilla’s face if you dare and you’ll find yourself staring into his piercing red eyes and blue mouth, both which light up when plugged into a FireWire bus,” notes the press release. The hub is completely bus-powered, but a power adapter is available if required. Hubzilla, which is scheduled to ship in early November, may be ordered from Charismac’s Web site for US$74.95.
