Apple’s Jonathan Ive up for BBC ‘Newsmaker of the Year’

Last week, the BBC let visitors to its Web site vote on who had the greatest impact in the areas of culture, showbiz, politics and sports over the past year. Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design guru, was voted BBC’s ‘Cultural Newsmaker of the Year,’ nabbing a little over 24% of the votes. Ive now goes up against musician Ozzy Osbourne, filmmaker Michael Moore, and pro soccer player Gary Lineker for the title of ‘Newsmaker of the Year.’
