Handspring has kicked off a new holiday promotion that offers customers a free Apex DVD player with the purchase of a Treo 90 organizer or Treo 270 or Treo 300 communicator. All three handhelds feature color screens, built-in keyboards, 16MB of memory, as well as the usual suite of Palm OS-based features. The Treo 270 (US$499) and Treo 300 ($499) add phone, email, and Web capabilities, while the Treo 90 ($299) functions exclusively as an organizer.
