FreeSoft today announced Silhouette, a new plug-in for Adobe Illustrator that allows users to convert bitmap images to vector images with unique correction tools. The plug-in fixes logos that were badly oriented in a scanner, sharpens rounded or truncated corners, deletes useless points, converts flat curves into straight lines, aligns segments of straight lines on the same axis, smoothes curves, and simplifies curves while keeping their appearance. Silhouette is compatible with Adobe Illustrator 8, 9 and 10, and sells for US$244.
