Rogue Amoeba releases Audio Hijack 1.5

Rogue Amoeba Software has announced the release of Audio Hijack 1.5, the latest version of the company’s audio enhancement utility. The software runs in the background and allows users to pipe audio from a Mac through a customizable set of DSP filters. What this means, essentially, is that you can add an equalizer to any Cocoa or Carbon application in OS X, including RealOne, DVD Player and Windows Media Player. Version 1.5 offers new SmartChip technology, new timers, passive version checking, localization in four different languages, and more. Audio Hijack is US$16 shareware.
