ViewSonic today introduced the NextVision N1700w, a wide-format 17″ flat-panel multimedia display that combines computer display functionality with home entertainment use, allowing users to view content from numerous devices. The display offers 1280×768 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 450:1 contrast ratio, and a 3D digital comb filter that supports both enhanced definition television (EDTV) and HDTV formats. The NextVision N1700w is Mac and PC compatible, and will be available later this year for US$1,199.
