A story this morning in The Boston Globe reports that convention officials in Boston will meet tomorrow with Charlie Greco, the head of IDG World Expo, to try to cut a deal to bring the East Coast Mac show back to Boston. Macworld Expo was held in Boston for 13 years before it moved to New York City in 1998. “Greco met with Mayor Thomas M. Menino last week. He said the city has put forward some attractive concessions, including using the Boston Public Library for convention events and Massport signs for Macworld advertisements,” notes the report.
