Addonics Technologies today announced the Pocket Ultra DigiDrive (UDD), an external data storage reader/writer for ATA Flash card and PCMCIA hard drives. The unit also allows users to read/write to numerous flash media types via an adapter. Flash media supported includes CF-I, CF-II, SmartMedia, Memory stick, Secure Digital Card, Multimedia Card or Micro Drive. The Addonics Pocket UDD works with Mac OS X, and is available in USB 2.0 (US$89) or FireWire ($119 ) models. The 9-in-1 Pocket UDD models come bundled with the Addonics 4-in-1 DigiAdapter, the CF DigiAdapter, priced at $149 for the USB 2.0 version or $179 for the FireWire version.
