ATI has cut the price of its Radeon 8500 Mac Edition AGP video card to US$199, a $100 reduction, Inside Mac Games notes. The card features 64MB of DDR memory, dual monitor support, and ATI’s TruForm, SmartShader, SmoothVision, Pixel Tapestry, and Charisma Engine technologies. At Macworld Expo New York in July, ATI unveiled Mac versions of its Radeon 9000 Pro and Radeon 9700, both of which will be available this fall. Pricing has yet to be announced for both next-generation cards.
