Canon today introduced the new Optura 200MC DV camcorder, which offers four recording modes: Digital Video, 1.33 megapixel High Resolution Photo, Motion-JPEG (MJPEG), and Digital Photo. The camcorder also features a 10x Optical and 200x Digital Zoom Lens; both Firewire and USB connections; Canon’s Optical Image Stabilization; and Direct Print, a feature which allows printing of photos by directly connecting to a Canon printer. The Canon Optura 200MC is priced at US$1,699, and will be available later this month.
