IDG World Expo announced today that 58,250 attendees visited the last week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in New York City, which featured nearly 250 exhibiting companies. “The passion and enthusiasm of [the Mac] community drives the continued success of Macworld Conference & Expo,” Charlie Greco, president and CEO of IDG World Expo said in a press release. “As New York City’s largest technology event, Macworld is a bright light in an otherwise dim industry.” Comparatively, attendance was down by about 6,000 from last year’s record setting turnout.
