SmartDisk today announced the availability of two Mac- and Windows-compatible film scanners, one for consumers/prosumers and one for professionals. The USB-based SmartScan 2700, which sells for US$249.95, offers one-touch scanning and captures up to 9.6 million pixels per image. The SmartScan 3600, which offers FireWire and USB connectivity, is intended for graphic designers, professional photographers and others who require 3600 dpi scans. The SmartScan 3600 is priced at $499.95.
