ATI today reported a third-quarter profit of US$19.2 million, or $0.08 per share, on revenues of $266.2 million. Strong sales of its graphics chips for laptops and the Nintendo GameCube helped offset the seasonal weakness in desktop sales. The company expects fourth-quarter revenue to be flat to slightly down.
