Blackmagic Design today announced the Kona HD, the first uncompressed HDTV 10 bit QuickTime card for Mac OS X. The card features 1 HD SDI video input, one HD SDI video output, 6 channels of AES/EBU digital audio, and a HDTV genlock. The Kona HD will sell for US$10,995 when released and will be compatible with such software as Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Combustion, Cleaner, iDVD, and DVD Studio Pro. Blackmagic Design already offers the Kona SD for $3,295.
