Macromedia today announced Fireworks MX and Dreamweaver MX, new versions of its professional design tools for the Web. Both products feature Mac OS X compatibility as well as a host of new features, including Macromedia’s new MX-series work space interface, first introduced last month with Flash MX. Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks MX are slated to ship in May for US$399 and $299, respectively, and will also be included as part of the new Studio MX, which also includes Flash MX, ColdFusion MX (Windows-only), and Freehand for $799. Trial versions of Fireworks MX and Dreamweaver MX are available for download.
