Apple is leading the industry in DVD burning, according to a company issued press release announcing that nearly 500,000 SuperDrive-equipped Macs and more than 2 million pieces of blank Apple DVD-R media have shipped. “Apple is leading the desktop DVD revolution,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior director of Hardware Product Marketing, said in the release. “SuperDrives are now in iMacs, Apple’s recordable DVD media is now priced under $5 per disc, and our iDVD software makes it easy for anyone to create their own DVDs.”
